Meet Our Wonderful Head Coaches
At TC Multicultural Society, we’re proud and grateful to have two incredible head coaches who have led our basketball camps with passion, dedication, and care. Get to know them and learn more about their stories below.
Ose Obetoh
Coach Ose has been playing basketball since she was 6 years old. From getting her start in the Steve Nash Basketball grassroots foundation, she played on many competitive teams, playing for Tri-City Youth Basketball Association (TCYBA), AthElite Basketball, 3D Basketball, and was part of the inaugural EYBL Bluestar BC team started in 2017. She represented BC in 2016 at the Western Canada Summer Games in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where the U16 team won the bronze medal. She played basketball at Trinity Western University unti, where she is currently going into her fourth year as an assistant coach for the women's varsity team. Coach Ose has coached the TC Multicultural Society basketball camp every year we have run this camp, and we are so excited to have her back once again!
Ehi Obetoh
Though initially starting as a track athlete, Coach Ehi had been surrounded by basketball from a very young age. He started playing competitively in Grade 8, joining the AthElite basketball club and gaining more exposure from there. In an effort to become more competitive in the sport, Coach Ehi joined the BC Christian Academy Prep Basketball team, where his team competed in many highly competitive tournaments across Western Canada, the US and even internationally. He joined the Douglas College basketball team after high school, where he played for two years before transferring to Langara College, where he is a current athlete. He has coached at the grassroots level with TCYBA, and currently the head coach of the U16 boys team at Born2Grind. He has coached with the TC Multicultural Society basketball camp for all 6 years of this camp and we are excited to have him back!
